• I’ll continue to pursue tax reform that cuts taxes on the poor and middle class and renew my commitment to close special interest loopholes in order to eliminate the sales tax on groceries
   

• I’ll continue my efforts to oppose early release of convicted violent felons. I will continue pursuing a new law to permanently remove “sexual psychopaths” from the streets.
   

• I’ll continue to pursue stronger ethics and campaign finance laws by pushing bills to: require full disclosure by special interest lobbying groups, Ban PAC to PAC transfers, and ban spending by lobbyists on legislators.
   

• I’ll continue to support a Constitutional Convention Referendum and an Initiative and Referendum Constitutional Amendment.
   

• As one of only three Democratic Party House members to oppose the Governor’s billion dollar constitutional amendment, I will continue to oppose tax increases on middle class families and push for the elimination of annual property tax appraisals and return to appraisals every four years.
   

• I will continue to address the growing problem of illegal immigration by working with Department heads and proposing employer accountability and keeping tax dollars from being spent on people not in Alabama legally.
   

• I will propose the distribution of TVA tax money received last year to fund suburban road improvement in the county including making Winchester Road safer.
   

• I will continue to support discipline and accountability in our schools with special emphasis on early reading programs and more technology focusing on science and math.
